S.S.D. Reyer Mestre S.p.A. has been awarded the operating concession for the new Venice Arena, a 10,000-seat venue forming part of the broader Bosco dello Sport project promoted by the City of Venice.

The outcome concludes a process launched in 2024, which saw Bestmind involved throughout the various procedural stages in structuring a technical-management and economic-financial proposal, ranging from the customization of the building to the management of the entire infrastructure.

As part of the initial call for expressions of interest issued by the City of Venice, Bestmind supported Reyer in the capacity of Project Manager and specialist Advisor, overseeing:

• the technical proposal covering layouts, fit-out, MEP systems, and Audio/Video/Lighting systems;
• the definition of the Technical and Operational Management Plan, including the schedule of sporting and entertainment events, as well as routine and extraordinary maintenance;
• the preparation of the 40-year Economic and Financial Plan;
• the drafting of the Concession Agreement, with the identification of the key terms of the operating concession within the framework of a public-private partnership. The project provided for an initial public investment by the City of Venice of €95 million for the construction of the Arena, as well as a total private investment of €1.4 billion over the forty-year operating period by S.S.D. Reyer Mestre S.p.A., in its capacity as concessionaire.

The proposal developed by Bestmind for Reyer as part of the initial call for expressions of interest was declared to be in the public interest and was adopted as the basis for the tender for the operating concession of the Arena.

In the subsequent phases, Bestmind supported Reyer in procurement activities and in the establishment of a special purpose vehicle, aimed at submitting the technical and financial bid for the integrated management of all technical, sporting, artistic, plant engineering, legal, and administrative aspects of the Arena.

The project forms part of the development of a modern, multifunctional infrastructure designed to ensure long-term operational sustainability.

The award of the concession marks the culmination of a process built on integrated expertise, a holistic vision and a multidisciplinary approach, which made it possible to define a management model commensurate with the complexity and significance of the project.
